Recruiting Volunteers for Peer-Led Rapid HIV Testing Programme

Recruiting Volunteers for Peer-Led Rapid HIV Testing Programme

The Sexual Health Centre is currently recruiting volunteers for our peer led rapid HIV testing programme for men who have sex with men.  Our testing programme aims to make testing as easy and accessible as possible.

We all have a HIV status.  Volunteers play a part in challenging the stigma around HIV by normalising testing and encouraging people to know their HIV status.  Volunteers also challenge stigma by informing people about U=U.  U=U stands for undetectable equals untransmittable.  This means that people living with HIV on effective treatment cannot pass HIV to their sexual partners.

All applicants are interviewed as part of the selection process for training.

If this programme is of interest to you and you think you have what it takes to be a volunteer we would be delighted to hear from you.
