Outreach Project Worker to join our Drugs, Alcohol and Sexual Health (DASH) Team.  

2 Year Fixed Term Contract - 2 days per week. Some weekend and evening/nighttime working will be required.  

Salary: €32,000 – €35,000 (pro – rata)  

About the Sexual Health Centre:  
Originally founded in 1987, as Cork AIDS Alliance, to provide support to people living with HIV, we are now a leading organisation supporting and promoting sexual health in Ireland. In partnership with Cork Local Drug & Alcohol Task Force and the Southern Regional Drug and Alcohol Taskforce, we are now seeking a seeking a positive and self-motivated person to join the team to support the delivery of our DASH (Drugs, Alcohol, Sexual Health) project. This innovative project has a specific focus on delivering health promotion services to vulnerable communities and to people as they socialise.  

Brief Description of the Role:   
As an Outreach Worker you will be part of a new vibrant team that will deliver an innovative and unique project across Cork and Kerry through a mobile health unit. The mobile unit will combine drugs, alcohol and sexual health services across the region and will have a particular emphasis on responding to and engaging with people as they socialise. These enhanced services, delivered through an inclusive lens will provide access to information, signposting and support to enable behaviour change opportunities and improve outcomes for service users - with particular emphasis on delivering health promotion to people as they socialise. This is a part time fixed term contract until November 2027. The post may be extended subject to funding. Applicants must have a full clean driving (regular B licence). The Sexual Health Centre is now seeking an exceptional individual to join our team and provide one-to-one and group support. We recognise that furnishing people with the skills to effectively respond to sexual health issues is crucial to overall wellbeing. In this role, you will have the opportunity to make a significant contribution to the overall strategy of the Sexual Health Centre.  

Brief Description of the Role:  

The purpose of this role is to support young people to improve their experience of sexual health, healthy relationships and education. The aim is to develop and deliver the Sexual Health Centre’s Health Promotion Programmes for young people and groups in addition to providing administrative support to the organisation. The role will be responsible for responding to queries and supports for young people, parents and professionals working with these groups.
