The Sexual Health Centre is resuming pregnancy testing and rapid HIV testing by appointment only, following suspension of these services in March 2020. To book an appointment, please contact the centre at 021-4276676 or info@sexualhealthcentre.com.
Booking your appointment:
Attendance at the centre is by appointment only.
If you are displaying any symptoms of COVID-19, please do not attend, and instead contact the Sexual Health Centre to reschedule your appointment.
When you arrive:
Please call the Sexual Health Centre upon arrival for your appointment. You will be admitted to the building when our team is ready for you.
You will be asked to attend your appointment alone. Unfortunately, to adhere with social distancing guidelines, it will not be possible to enter the building with a partner, friend etc.
You will be advised to wash your hands and use hand sanitiser. Please do not wear gloves when entering the building.
You will be supplied with a disposable face mask if you do not have your own.
You will be asked to provide your full name, address and contact information. This information will be added to a contact log, and if required, may be given to the HSE for use in contact tracing. Your attendance at the Sexual Health Centre will not be disclosed by the HSE during the contact tracing process.
While refreshments will not be available, bottles of water will be offered to each client.
During your appointment:
The team member performing the rapid HIV test or pregnancy test will wear gloves, a mask and goggles/a visor.
The team member will keep a distance of two metres from you, where possible and practicable.
Appointments will be limited to a 15-minute period.
If you use the bathroom during your appointment, you will be asked to sanitise your hands in advance.
Following your appointment:
As a one-way system is now in operation at the centre, you will be asked to follow the signage to the back door of the building.
