Free Sexual Health Workshops/ Talks

The health promotion team at the Sexual Health Centre has been delivering skills-based, gender neutral workshops to youth and community groups, parents and professionals in the Cork area since 1987. They focus on enabling positive sexual health for all.

Our workshops are:

  • Professional - run by qualified, experienced presenters

  • Accessible - open to people of all abilities or disabilities and using language you will understand

  • Comprehensive - covering a full range of information

  • Interactive - with group discussions , Q&A sessions and role play as appropriate.

Youth workshops

Youth Workshops are usually delivered over three sessions focusing on:

  • Relationships and consent

  • Contraception and STIs and

A fourth session can be selected from our optional topics such as drugs/alcohol, body image or mensuration. We also offer tailored workshops for people living with a disability. To book a workshop, contact Juan on 086 1381994, or via email juan@sexualhealthcentre.com

Outreach workshops

Our outreach workers focus on groups who can feel disconnected from society and may not have access to sexual health information and services. These groups include but are not limited LGBTI+ people, people engaged with sex work, people living or accessing addiction services, vulnerable adults and migrants.

Our workshops give people a safe space where they can discuss difficult subjects in a way they are comfortable with.

To book a workshop contact Hannah on 086 138 2035 or email Hannah@sexualhealthcentre.com.

Our health promotion team also offer a variety of talks and workshops for professional groups on:

  • Workshops can be tailored to the needs of individual organisations.

“Every school and youth group needs these sessions.
I’m 37 and have never been tested for STIs. Due to these workshops, I will, as it is my right and my duty to ensure I’m clear and safe for future partners.”
